Biography

Elizabeth Leatherman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing: Sciences & Disorders. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in speech-language pathology from the University of Kansas. She currently facilitates clinical learning opportunities for student clinicians on the Technology, Education, Communication, and Connection (TECC) Team who provide speech-language services in the Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and local school-based settings. Elizabeth also provides services to individuals across the lifespan who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and is co-director of the Pardee AAC Lab. Her teaching and research focus on improving preservice education for speech-language pathologists, particularly in the area of AAC.
