Summer Kid Connections
Move and Grow Together (Birth to 5 years old) - July 16-27, 2018
Move and Grow Together groups will offer guided creative movement experiences for young children (birth-five) and their families. Children and caregivers will explore physical movement together which will enhance their interactions as well as speech and language skills. Sessions will be held three times a week for 30-45 minutes for 2 weeks July 16-27, 2018. There will be a morning and afternoon option. Groups will be facilitated by speech-language pathologist and student clinicians. Groups are open to anyone in the community.

Having Fun With Friends: An AAC Camp for Young Children (preK to 3rd grade) - July 23rd 27th, 2018; 9am - Noon
The Schiefelbusch Speech-Language Hearing Clinic is hosting a week long summer camp for children ages 3-8 who have complex communication needs and who use augmentative and alternative communication. The camp will meet in the Language Acquisition Preschool on the University of Kansas campus from 9 AM -12 PM Monday through Friday. The camp will include play-based learning, music, and early literacy activities.

Fluency/Stuttering (6 to 14 years old) - July 23rd to 27th, 2018
Fun and interactive groups for young people who stutter, ages 6-14. Our sessions combine leisure and therapeutic activities to help kids and teens who stutter build confidence, effective communication and friendships. Morning and afternoon sessions held from July 23rd to 27th. The morning group is for elementary school-age children while the afternoon group is for middle school-age children. On Friday, July 27th, there will be a support group opportunity for parents/caregivers.
